I didn't place any machines today, and I had to bring one of the ones back that I took. No big deal, I may get it back in the future. To be honest I'm surprised the guy had the veracity to call me and ask for the machine back.
So while I didn't place any machines and I lost one machine I think something good may have happend. I got a call from this guy who I had called about 5 days back. I got his number from the back of one of his vending machines in a barber shop. I asked him if he wanted to sell when I left the message 5 days ago and today he said, yeah he would sell.
He has 30 machines on location, double heads, and 8 machines at home. He asked what I paid for my machines and I told him $95 new, and he said that is about what he would like for his machines. He sounded about 50 years old and I'm meeting him this coming Monday at 11 so I don't forget. Someone remind me. Problem is, he has no books. He just puts all the quarters into a machine. I don't know exactly where to go from here.
Any ideas on what I should say? He has no books, I want the route though. I'm getting the route. But I want it cheap. Help me ; )

It's less than two hours away. He is askinf 320 per location! You sure about this? I can't afford to pay that much in cash. I don't know if I could buy that route. I would have to see income statements. I'll call him.

I recently found your blog thanks to Steve's comments about you on his blog. I am going to be starting my vending business soon as well. Unfortunately due to lack of capital and a having to work a full time job I won't be able to grow as fast as you are though. I have learned alot from your experiences already. I hope you continue to document your endeavors. Thanks for the Inspiration.
He wants $12,500 for it. They were located by a location firm. He said they each average $40 a machine. There are 29 machines in location.
He said there is a deal in the process but he's not sure if the guy has the cash. He wants all cash, unwilling to finance. I told him call me if it falls through.
For this deal I would have to pay for it with college loans. Not to mention it's 2 hours away. I don't know. What do you think? Is it really that great of a deal?

I'm starting with a locating firm, I contracted him 5 machines. If he comes through I'll let you know. I got an amazing deal because he knows I have this blog and a lot of readers. So.. Yeah, but I'm talking about paying less than $3000 for the same number of machines. Granted they are two headed machines and the guy has no records but still. They would pay for themselves in a year too. Even if they only made $10 a month.

I'm not sure, I changed it when I initially setup the blog. I'm sure it's some where in the customization options.
The blog has a lot of cool options and things you can add. I see you added the extreme-dm thing. It is nice to see where your visitors come from and how many you are getting. The "unique" visitors is the number you want to be looking at. That is the number of different people that visit your site. Meaning if I go to your site 10 times in one day it only counts me once.
