No luck Wednesday

I was going to go through all the places I stopped today but I think it is better for me to just tell you what is happening.

The most abundant response I am receiving is "we don't have enough room." Even though sometimes I will say what about that corner over there. One lady didn't want to mess with the ambiance of her restaurant, blah whatever (so that gave me an idea, I'll tell you later if it works.)

So, no room, no thank you is the most common response I have been getting. I need a new strategy when I go into places, mine just isn't working. I went to 12 places today and got 0 yes answers.

A few things to consider: I live in an extremely wealthy town. Commission may just not be that attractive to owners here. Maybe I'm just not presenting the opportunity correctly to the owners/managers (I have a feeling this is my problem.)

Thanks for all your responses. I can use all the help I can get.

Rob,

The weathey factor is not your problem. It mite me the way you present your vending program. Do not make it sound to good to be true. The BLACK WITH CROME double head, is the abouslate best machine for restraunts. Go to 30 places a day. That mite be part of your problem. Is you want to vend full time, you must go to more locations than 12 or 13 places. Its a lot of work, I know. Set a gole for the day, and reach it. Place 3 a day. Go for that gole. Go OUT of your town. Into new ones. You will have sucess. It's a buiness. And you have to work it like one!

I think one of my problems is I get shot down before I get to say "The BLACK with CHROME is the absolute best." haha Could you give me an example of how you start off when you go into a new location? Thanks so much.

Rob

P.S.. I'm going to take those pictures for you.

If you think that there is not enough commission to make it worth their while, why don't you offer to donate their whole percentage to your charity, in their name. That way they can feel good and have an additional write off. Just a thought! Good luck.

Rob,

Ok here you go, this is what I say:

Hi my name is Kyle Guth. Im here on hehalf of the Guth Vending Company. I opperate Bulk Candy Machines for 30% commission. I use a Double Head Machine that takes up 16 inches of space. (hand onwer picture of machine) If you dont care let me run out to my car, and get the machine. (hand them flyer)

Once I get back in with the machine I say this:

This is my red double head machine with a classy crome finish. I will give you 30 cents of every dollar as commission. (hand onwer commission explantion sheet) This sheet explains my 21 centry commission program. It is desined to give you the most commission possible. (let onwer review commission sheet, less than 30 seconds, talk to them while thay read it)

This is where you get an anwser:

What do you think. The machine requries only 16 inches of space.
It requries none of your time, or money, and verry little space. This is free money to you, and to your store.

Thay will no say yes or no. I will tell you what I say in both suitations.

NO: (name of onwer)- this is free, easy money for you. Why dont we try a 4 week trile run. Then you will see how much you will make.

No again: Thank You for your time, heres my card and I will come back one week from now to see if you have changed your mind.

YES: Thank You so much. Where would you like me to set this money makeing machine?

Be very pushy with the no's. You want to "Push" them to say YES! Edit to your company and machines. Ans USE it!

I LOVE the idea about giving them a "trial run"! I really like this concept, and I'm going to try it out tomorrow. The locations I've been visiting, the rent alone is at a minimum $1500 a month, do you still think they will like the commission? Talk soon. THOSE PICTURES ARE COMING!

YES. That will help pay that rent! It will not matter Rob it is all the same. High rent or not. But that ill probly give a little more reason to take your machine. Go to 30 again tomarrow. If the onwer says no rite off the bat, your him your pic, and flyer. And start with the trial run part of the script. Be verry pushy if he says no and WANTS YOU TO LEAVE. never be pushy untill that crital point, or you could ruin your chance. Always be nice and kind when "pushing".

Rob, stay positive! Just think, you are learning so much each day. Soon enough, you will have perfected your sales pitch and things will get easier! You're doing great!

Kyle, I love that you are sharing your expertise with Rob on his endeavor...great advice and insight! I am curious, do you do the 30% commission deal with all of your locations, or just those locations that are hard to get and/or are high volume locations where giving up 30% of your profits is worth it to you. 30% seems like an awful lot of money to give up. Of course, I guess if the location is prime and is generating twice the revenue that a free location might, it is well worth it. I would love to hear your thoughts on the issue.

Ryan,

Yes I do. I recomended him to give 25 cents out of every dollar. I do very often give 30%. He is giveing 30% because 5% of that goes to charity. 25% is what I use most often. But with tthe places he is going to he should do very, very well. Twice as much as a normal machine would do.

25% is normal. He is giveing 5% to a charity. He will do fine. Only thing I would do is, get rid of the charity, and give 25%. He will get many more locations giveing 25% rather than 10%. I do, and Im going fine.
